The emergence of fractures marks the beginning of a new materiality. Broken ceramics, pieced together in the kintsugi style with fine or very coarse (raw) seams, lose their original integrity and gain a new one. The scar lines—deliberately exposed—function as cartographic traces of the in-between: destruction and reconstruction, loss and the search for form.

Skin and concrete stand in direct opposition. Their surfaces bear the sedimented layers of time from lived experience. Textures densify, cracks form, material fractures—scars as narrative markers. Where ceramic fragments remain in clinical abstraction, the body oscillates between vulnerability and resistance. Architecture, itself a membrane of the built environment, inscribes itself into this cycle with worn edges and open areas.

Between object, body, and space, a visual exploration emerges of fragment and continuity—of what separates and connects, of wound, trace, and the archive of time.
